Honda Civic Tour is Coming Soon!

Remember last year when Linkin Park came to Cincinnati and rocked the stage for the Honda Civic Tour? Well it’s that time of the year again. But this year, there’s a different band that will be taking the stage in Cincinatti – Maroon 5. That’s right – Maroon 5 is headlining this year’s Honda Civic Tour, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Now, this tour will make its way to a lot more places than just Cincinnati, but Cinci is by far the closest stop to Louisville (only about an hour and a half away). So be sure to check out this website and get your tickets soon. The tour starts August first in Missouri, then Indiana, and then heads over to the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on August 4^th. So if you’re a fan of great music and great cars, get your tickets!

Introducing the 2014 Honda Odyssey

A couple weeks ago we did a blog about how the 2014 Honda Odyssey was going to be revealed soon, and well, it’s been revealed! That’s right – the 2014 Odyssey was uncovered at the New York Auto Show, and let us be the first to tell you if you haven’t seen it already – It is awesome!

Just when you thought Honda couldn’t make it any better, they come out of nowhere with some incredible new styling and groundbreaking interior features such as the world’s first in-car vacuum, HondaVAC. Can you believe it? Why didn’t we think of that years ago?

Wash Away Winter with a Good Honda Spring Cleaning

Now that the winter snow has finally melted away, we can make way for spring flowers, rain clouds, and the dreaded spring cleaning. autoMedia.com suggests several tips for extending the spring cleaning tradition to your car, in addition to your house and yard! After all, your car does take quite a beating during the winter months from the snow, ice, and salt.

The first thing you should do wash your car. It’s time to start clean and that means getting rid of the salt residue and water streaks from melted snow and rain. During this step, be sure to target the underbody of your car, so the salt won’t corrode parts like the front and rear bumpers. After that is done, check for rust spots on the underbody. If you notice any, make sure to take the necessary steps to stop it from spreading. Contact our service department if you’re unsure of what to do.

The next step is to check all fluids and refill them to their specific levels. You can stop into our dealership if you need to have something flushed like the transmission fluid, or if you need an oil change. Also, check the wiper blades for wear and tear from the winter weather; you’ll want to have fresh ones for the spring rains. You should also have your tires and brakes inspected -they experience a lot of the winter weather first-hand.

In total, there were nineteen categories for the 2013 awards, and Honda took home two of them. 2014 Honda Odyssey to be Unveiled This Week!

Honda to Introduce 2014 Odyssey this week

The wait is almost over! The New York Auto Show is this week and the newly redesigned Honda Odyssey is set to be unveiled in just a couple short days. Unfortunately, Honda has not disclosed hardly any information about the new Odyssey, but they did say on their website that it will introduce “refreshed styling” and “innovative technology”. We can’t wait to see what it looks like!

Honda Dominates Consumer Reports List of “Best Used Cars”

Not too long ago, Consumer Reports came out with a list of the “Best Used Cars.” This list was determined by seeing which cars held their value best and still performed well years down the road, and as you may have guessed from the title, Honda made not one, not two, but three appearances on this list!

First up is the 2011 Honda Fit. Value is the key word with this small car. With more storage space than most small cars, and a 4-cyclinder engine that delivers 30 miles per gallon, it’s easy to see why the Fit is a solid choice for anyone looking for a used small car.

Next is the Accord. According to New York Daily News, “Reliability is one of the Honda Accord’s selling points, and rightfully so. Consumer Reports places it as a top pick among $10,000 to $15,000 used sedans, citing its strong-but-efficient V6 engine and roomy interior as highlights.”

The third and final Honda to make the list of “Best Used Cars” is the 2007-2008 Honda Pilot. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a larger SUV. Why? Because it has room for up to 8 people, and still gets decent fuel economy.

2013 Honda Civic Earns Top Safety Pick+ Rating From IIHS

Honda Makes Huge Technology Advancement For Hybrid Vehicles

Here’s something for all you science lovers out there. In a press release published just yesterday, Honda announced that that have “established the world’s first process to reuse rare earth metals extracted from nickel-metal hydride batteries for new nickel-metal hydride batteries to recycle precious resources.” Now to be perfectly honest, we don’t really know what this means, but anytime we can reuse rare earth metals, that’s a good thing for the earth.
